10 weeks

The boys went to their 2 month appointment today. They are actually 10 weeks old. Caleb weighed in at 11lbs. 2oz. and Jackson weighed in at 9lbs 4oz.. Caleb was 1/2 in. taller at 21 3/4.
The doctor said they looked good other than a couple small things that are already known. The PDA issue seems to be getting better with Jackson and Caleb has his follow up in 4 months for his. The doctor said he couldn't hear his and Jacksons seemed much softer and not as pronounced. The only other thing the doctor brought up was that both of them have sort of a flat head from lying on their back alot. We are starting to do more tummy time and ironing the backs of their heads more. Ha Ha. Caleb has a congenital something or other with his neck where he was pressed into a position in the womb where is neck muscles were stronger on one side so he tends to hold his head to one side more than the other. We have been doing stretches to help this and the doc said is nothing really to worry about over time. But he is having us go see a physical therapist for him to get some work outs on his neck muscles to straighten things out. The doc said it just puts less of a burden on us to work them out. And it will be especially more benficial with Twins because mom cant spend as much time working on him. Otherwise all is good. The boys are doing good and have been doing some adjusting on sleep times etc... nothing we cant handle. We have had a couple 4 and 5 hour sleep nights which is really cool. But the next night they were back to sleeping about 3 hours before wanting to be fed. No worries here though. We'll just keep doing what were doing and eventually they drop feedings on their own. Doctor said the boys are in 50-75% for size for Caleb and 25% for Jackson. Great news for Jackson... He is catching up and doing well. Lots of love and prayers are really helping them thrive. Of course its hard to love your child when he is screaming for food at 3 am. :) The doc also gave us the clearance to socialize with other people and bring them out more. They got 4 shots today and boy did they love that!!!!

Val and I are doing good. Starting to settle into some routines and are making time in the late evening to spend time together before going to bed. The boys are keeping us on our toes and sometimes are stressfull but we know that eventually it will smooth out a bit and we will get more comfortable with making decisions easier.

Val is doing great on her own during the day at home. Now that the weather is starting to warm up it is making life easier for her to be able to get outside for a walk with the boys. She continues to stay strong when the boys need her.

Thats all for now. Just wanted to give everyone an update. We are looking forward to our first familly vacation at Sandbridge Beach this July with the rest of the familly. Its going to be great!

Take care all!
